The role of the Investment Strategist is to develop house views on various asset classes along with the Research team and to translate the asset class view into investment product views through analysis of the product specific parameters. He/She is also responsible for product risk evaluation in order to ensure right selling to the customer.
Key deliverables:
1. Analysis of new products being proposed for launch and determine suitability for launch from a risk/reward perspective. Risk profiling of new products in order segregate products suitable for customers of different risk profiles.
2. Engage with the research team and a committee of economic experts across the globe in formation of house view on various asset classes across the world
3. Translate asset level house views into views on specific investment products held by GPC customers by studying the product specific parameters
4. Circulation of investment strategy presentation and product views on a periodic basis to Relationship managers and engage in discussions with RMs so as to form the basis of client interactions
5. Engage with the clients if need be along with RMs on specific subjects of client interest
6. Constantly monitor global economic variables in order to analyse the impact on current house views on asset classes/products
7. Proactively come up with updated views on products/asset classes in case of significant world events
8. Conduct training sessions for solution managers in order to update their knowledge on various financial products
